The new FiiO FH19 is a significant upgrade, incorporating much user feedback. It retains the signature sound and flagship-grade craftsmanship of the FH9 and is co-developed with Tokyo Onkyo Ltd. in Japan and Knowles in the USA. It features a high-end acoustic design, richer and fuller midrange, and more robust yet flexible bass. The fit has been redesigned and optimized based on the characteristics of the human ear, allowing you to experience truly flagship-level comfort. The FiiO FH19 is an 8-driver IEM with two dynamic drivers and six balanced armature drivers for a powerful and clear sound response.
Features A Hybrid Driver Array With 2DD + 6BA Drivers
The new FiiO FH19 boasts a flagship-grade configuration with dual dynamic and six balanced armature drivers. The bass is powered by an innovative push-pull dual dynamic driver unit, co-developed with Tokyo Onkyo Ltd. in Japan, offering enhanced low-frequency extension, cohesion, and speed. The mid-to-high frequencies are handled by custom Knowles-enhanced midrange balanced armature drivers, delivering rich, delicate vocals with exceptional musicality and detail.
Innovative Push-Pull Dual Dynamic Drivers For Clean Sound
FiiO and Tokyo Onkyo Co. Ltd. have collaborated to create a push-pull dual dynamic driver unit for the FH19, inspired by high-end audio technology. The design includes two 13.7mm high-magnetic dynamic drivers with PU+DLC composite diaphragms arranged in an opposing configuration. This setup maintains phase consistency, doubles the driving force, and provides air damping between the diaphragms. As a result, the drivers achieve the desired sound pressure level with half the amplitude, reducing diaphragm displacement, enhancing linear performance, and minimising distortion for a cleaner sound.
Embedded With 6 Custom Knowles Balanced Armature Drivers
The FiiO FH19 features six Knowles balanced armature drivers dedicated to mid and high frequencies. In collaboration with Knowles, FiiO developed a custom mid-frequency-enhanced driver, adding acoustic vents to its rear cavity. This design increases sound energy, allowing the mid-frequency driver to deliver richer and more lifelike vocals, creating an immersive listening experience that makes it feel as though the singer is right next to you.
The FH19 builds on the FH9’s design with upgraded drivers and a refined four-way crossover. It features custom push-pull dual-dynamic drivers with 'turbine low-frequency boost technology' for natural bass. The mid-range is enhanced by a ‘3+1 semi-open’ balanced armature layout and a new resonant cavity, providing richer mids. For high frequencies, the FH19 retains its coaxial design and adds Rubycon audiophile-grade film capacitors for high-resolution treble.
Adopting A Semi-Open Design And Mid-Frequency Notch Filter
FiiO's semi-open design, praised in models like the FH9, FH7S, FH5S, and FD5, is featured again in the FH19. This design is fine-tuned with FiiO’s advanced front and rear cavity pressure relief technology, delivering a natural, relaxed sound with an expansive soundstage. The design balances internal air pressure, reducing eardrum pressure and preventing listening fatigue for extended periods. The FH19’s hybrid configuration and acoustic principles are meticulously tuned for coherence. FiiO’s development team has incorporated a specialised “mid-frequency notch filter” to enhance midrange clarity, eliminate sibilance, and ensure drivers operate independently, allowing high-frequency drivers to perform at their best.
Utilising High-Quality Components For Enhanced Performance
To achieve flagship performance, the FiiO FH19 features a suspended voice coil design, with leads routed from beneath the diaphragm to float freely, minimising contact and adhesive load. This design ensures smooth diaphragm movement, maximising its potential. The FH19 also uses high-precision Japanese film crossover capacitors, offering superior phase alignment accuracy with a 0.1% error rate, compared to the typical 1% found in conventional resistors. These capacitors enhance crossover precision and high-frequency resolution, resulting in a more detailed sound.
S.Turbo Design For Punchy Bass And Swappable Filters
Inspired by the turbochargers in supercars, FiiO's development team crafted the S.Turbo patented acoustic design. This innovative design utilises sound wave guidance to enhance bass performance through its turbine-shaped structure, delivering deep, vibrant bass. It also filters out excess mid-to-high frequencies from the dynamic driver, ensuring smooth transitions and a more powerful, robust sound. The FH19, reflecting its flagship status, includes three pairs of swappable audio filters. Each filter offers different damping and mesh densities, allowing for customisable sound profiles to suit your preferences.
Exquisitely Crafted With Titanium+7000 Series Aluminium
The FiiO FH19 exemplifies flagship build quality, highlighted by its titanium midframe. This luxurious material not only adds a high-end aesthetic with its distinctive titanium colour but also ensures durability. The midframe’s rigidity and corrosion resistance protect the earphones from daily wear, embodying the true essence of a flagship product. The FH19’s shell is crafted from 7000 series aluminium, renowned for its strength and lightweight properties, ensuring durability without compromising comfort. This aerospace-grade material, used in aircraft components for its high strength and rigidity, enhances the FH19's robustness and longevity while maintaining a comfortable fit despite its complex acoustic design.
Ergonomically Designed For Flagship-Grade Comfort
Based on user feedback and extensive optimisations, the FiiO FH19 features a precisely adjusted 10° angle between the ear nozzle and the wearing surface, improving comfort and stability without changing the nozzle length. The updated rear cavity design, now more three-dimensional, includes ergonomic adjustments such as 1.4mm ear-friendly protrusions to ensure a snug fit and minimise movement. Additionally, the rear cavity is slightly reduced in thickness, about 1mm around the ear’s fold, reducing pressure and enhancing comfort. Together with premium shell materials, these refinements make the FH19 feel almost invisible in your ears while delivering exceptional sound quality.
Bundled With A Pure Silver Cable And 22 Pairs Of Eartips
The FiiO FH19 features a premium pure silver cable with 8 strands of 28 wires each, totalling 224 wires, and a stainless steel angled MMCX connector. The cable is insulated with enamel, twisted in Litz braids, and covered in transparent, eco-friendly TPU, preventing yellowing and stiffness in cold conditions. The cable features an ergonomic MMCX connector and includes swappable 4.4mm and 3.5mm termination plugs. The FH19 also comes with 22 pairs of ear tips, including HS18, SpinFit, and new HS20 silicon options, ensuring a comfortable and customized listening experience.
